Britain’s Got Talent results branded a ‘fix’ by some viewers

The latest Britain’s Got Talent results have been branded a fix by some viewers.

Dance group DVJ and father-son singing duo Tim and Jack Goodacre were the latest to make the final in last night’s live show.

DVJ went straight through after host Dec Donnelly announced they’d received the most public votes.

DVJ – a.k.a. Diversity Juniors – are a sister group of former BGT winners Diversity, mentored by Ashley Banjo.

Their showstopping dance routine was described as “perfection” by David and “sensational” by Alesha.

“Even though it’s Diversity Juniors, it’s you, you made it special,” reacted Simon. “It was brilliant, really impressed.”

And although viewers voted them through, other fans of the show were left unimpressed by the result.

“#BGT Fancy that, Diversity Junior won. #FIX,” one snapped on Twitter.

Posted another: “Is it just me or is #dvj aka Diversity Juniors being on #bgt nepotism at best, a complete fix at worst? I want to see SuBo Jr next year and she can win too”

And a third tweeted: “what an absolute fix… if it wasn’t for their affiliation with Diversity then they wouldn’t even be here… ? #BGT”

However many others hit back, with one tweeting: “All the people whining about a fix cause of DVJ, shut up ? so predictable that people were gunna do that just because Ashley Banjo trained them. They deserved to go through?? #BGT”

Elsewhere in the results, after DVJ’s victory, the next two most popular acts, Tim and Jack and comedian Noel James, faced the judges’ decision.

David Walliams voted for his fellow funnyman Noel, while Simon Cowell backed Tim and Jack, who are his Golden Buzzer pick.

Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden also voted for Tim and Jack, therefore putting them in the final.

Two more contestants will join the final tonight, while the judges will also bring back one eliminated contestant as a ‘wild card’.

Britain’s Got Talent 2018 continues with its fifth semi-final Friday night at 7.30pm and 9.30pm on ITV.

The grand final airs on Sunday at 7.30pm, when viewers will crown one act the series champion.
