Britain’s Got Talent magician reacts to theories over how his trick was done

Britain’s Got Talent magician Ben Hart shocked the panel with his audition at the weekend.

Ben went before the judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon while Ant and Dec watched on from the sidelines.

He performed a pair of tricks, starting small by making an egg appear before the judges’ eyes.

Ben then went on to showcase his skills on the stage as he selected a random audience member and teleported her between two cages on the stage.

Simon was left with no idea how the trick was done, commenting simply: “That was unbelievable.”

Alesha added: “I love to hate these kind of acts because that’s just done my head in.”

With four big yeses, Ben sailed through to the next round as viewers speculated on how his audition was accomplished.

Many suggested that the audience member was a stooge with a secret twin, but Ben wasn’t giving anything away.

Refusing to reveal any secrets (no surprise there, really), Ben told The Sun newspaper: “Magic helps to remind us that there are mysteries in the world and that not everything has or needs an answer.

“In a world of answers, it’s nice to have a mystery.

“I’m not personally worried about people trying to work things out, because if they’re trying to work things out, they’re already denying themselves the feeling of amazement and that’s the bit that I find interesting.”
