The first Britain’s Got Talent Champions results are in – who is through to the all stars final?
Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions started on ITV tonight, seeing acts from the past 13 years of BGT go head to head with acts from across the world.
The first five weeks will see a series of heats with nine acts competing for two spots in the grand final each Saturday night.
This weekend’s first results (August 31) saw Ukrainian sand artist Kseniya Simonova and American daredevil duo Bello and Annaliese Nock make it through.
Each week, one of the judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – or hosts Ant and Dec send their favourite act straight to the final by pressing the Golden Buzzer.
This week it was Amanda’s turn, and it was 2009 Ukraine’s Got Talent winner Kseniya who earned her backing.
Amanda said of Kseniya’s performance: “It was so beautiful, so moving. I’m a complete mess. The whole message was very uplifting and very emotional.
“Your quiet skill requires no language, no nothing. Nothing needed explaining, you did it all with just sand.”
The remaining acts faced an audience vote which saw Bello and Annaliese Nock win the second place in the final. The father and daughter pair performed a shocking routine in the ‘wheel of death’ that wowed the judges.
They beat dog act Ashleigh & Sully and dance troupe Boogie Storm in the audience vote, with the two BGT acts ranking in third and second places respectively.
The other contestants in tonight’s first Britain’s Got Talent heat included multi-platinum selling artist and first ever Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts, Australian comedy duo The Nelson Twins and Indonesian Magician and illusionist The Sacred Riana.
Joining them were Indian dancers Bad Salsa and singer Connie Talbot, who first appeared on Britain’s Got Talent when she was six years old.
