Here’s a recap of the Britain’s Got Talent golden buzzer acts of 2019 in the live shows.

There are once again a total of five golden buzzer acts on BGT 2019 with the contestants going straight through to the live shows.

In the auditions, David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell and Ant and Dec each picked an act for the semi-finals.

Here’s all we know about them…

David Walliams

David was first to hit his golden buzzer, giving it to Flakefleet Primary School Teacher Dave took to the stage with the 4 to 11-year-old choir from his school “Some are amazing singers, some are just enthusiastic,” he joked.

The kids sang a cover of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ in a range of wacky outfits while bouncing inflatable globes over the audience. David was left in tears by the uplifting audition.

He said: “You’re just one of the most joyous things I’ve ever seen. You’ve just made all our hearts soar today. It’s what you want your childhood to be like, and what you want your children’s childhood to be like which is full of unbridled joy.”

 

Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell gave his golden buzzer to comedian Kojo Anim who impressed with his stand up comedy.

Simon told him: “I don’t really like comedians on this show… but I loved you! You have the most amazing energy, this is the break you’ve been waiting for. Enjoy this!”

 

Ant and Dec

Ant and Dec’s golden buzzer is 13-year-old dancer, Akshat who rocked out on stage to Nicki Minaj’s Starships.

Dec said: “We just love him! We were chatting to him backstage and he just had the loveliest, sunniest personality ever.

“We were really moved by him so when he was chatting to the judges we were worried one of them was going to nab him for their golden buzzer so when they didn’t we were like, ‘We’ve got to sprint for this!’ and we got him! I can’t wait to see him again.

Ant added: “We fell in love with him before he’d even gone on stage. He’s a real character.”

 

Alesha Dixon

Alesha Dixon’s golden buzzer act is 10-year-old singer Giorgia Borg who wowed with her own original song ’10’.

Alesha said: “You’re not even real.

“It takes a lot to really, really move me. You floored me. You absolutely floored me. Your vocal capability, your lyrical capability…. You are ten years old. You are a star. You have the best personality as well. I love everything about you, congratulations.”

 

Amanda Holden

Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer contestant for 2019 are boy band Chapter 13. They are made up of 14-year-old Jacob, 15-year-old Noah, 15-year-old Tom and 15-year-old Jake.

They introduced themselves: “We were all in School of Rock The Musical together. We always imagined what it’d be like to be in a band.”

After the group performed a medley of Stevie Wonder hits, Amanda said: “I think you are absolutely incredible and now you’ve just got to win the whole show.”

 

Britain’s Got Talent 2019 airs Saturday nights on ITV.

The live shows begin on Monday, May 27 and air each week night until May 31.

The live final takes place on Sunday, June 2.
