Britain’s Got Talent finalist Lost Voice Guy has taken a tumble after winning Monday’s semi-final.
37-year-old Lee Ridley lives in Newcastle, where he works as a full-time stand-up comedian.
On Monday, Lee made it through to Sunday’s grand finale after topping the public vote.
However he look a nasty tumble shortly afterwards, sharing a picture of his bruised face online.
Lee tweeted: “This is why Lost Balance Guy never made it onto BGT. Don’t worry though, it was only a trip. I’ll be match fit for the final on Sunday!”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Lee said: “After such an amazing night in my semi final, I tripped over when I got back to my hotel on Monday night.
“Lost Voice Guy became Lost Balance Guy for a moment. Don’t worry though, I’m feeling fine again now and am looking forward to the final.
“Thanks to everyone who made sure I was alright. I felt in very good hands.”
Lost Voice Guy Lee is the current favourite to win this year’s series, taking home the £250,000 prize and a spot on the Royal Variety Show.
Lee has cerebral palsy, and after falling ill as a baby was left unable to speak. He uses a ‘text-to-speech’ app on his iPad to communicate.
Much of Lee’s comedy material centres around his disability, but Lee wants to prove that disabled people are just like everyone else and can have a sense of humour. “Lee that was hilarious from start to finish… I think it’s one of the best stand-up comedy routines I’ve ever seen, let alone on the show!” said David at the auditions.
Britain’s Got Talent 2018 airs live tonight at 7:30PM on ITV, Sunday, June 3.
