Britain’s Got Talent’s Amanda Holden reacts to complaints about her ‘inappropriate’ dresses

Amanda Holden has responded to complaints about her Britain’s Got Talent outfits.

The BGT judge’s risqué dresses have always caused a stir on the live shows.

And one of this year’s outfits prompted a number of people to complain to TV watchdog Ofcom, claiming it was ‘inappropriate for family viewing’.

Amanda has admitted she ‘takes risks’ on BGT but wasn’t sorry for it.

She told the Daily Mail this week: “Of course I have fun on Britain’s Got Talent – it’s the perfect opportunity to take risks.

“Times have changed and I don’t feel anyone should feel pressure to dress for your age. It’s all about body positivity and feeling good.”

Speaking earlier this year about the Ofcom complaints over her outfits, Amanda quipped: “My t*ts seem to become the show’s biggest talking point every year.”

She joked to The Sun that there had been no objections from her husband, remarking: “We’ve had plenty of complaints apparently, but none from home, let me tell you.”

And Amanda added: “I love it that people are still talking about my tired old breasts and I’m nearly 50!

“No one talks about [BGT co-host] Alesha Dixon’s – she’s got great boobs, by the way – and she’s eight years younger than me.”

It’s not just Amanda’s outfits that have seen complaints this year.

The first live show on Monday night saw her drop the F-bomb after she was spooked by magical act The Haunting.

“There were only 200 complaints to Ofcom — nowhere near my record — but I did go into panic mode afterwards,” Amanda confessed.

She revealed: “I chased Simon into his dressing room and said, ‘You’re not going to fire me, are you?’ And he replied, ‘Don’t be f***ing ridiculous’. I said, ‘You know Simon, the world has gone mad now’.

“It was unplanned and I didn’t mean it in any bad way, but there is so much political correctness now and so much stuff flying round that you just don’t know.

“I am lucky to have survived this long in this climate. I texted Piers Morgan and just wrote ‘#Gutted’.”

Britain’s Got Talent will return later this year for an All Star Champions series.
