Blue Peter presenter Radzi Chinyanganya tipped for Strictly Come Dancing line up

Blue Peter’s Radzi Chinyanganya has become the latest name rumoured for Strictly Come Dancing’s 2019 line up.

The TV presenter is said to be in talks about hitting the dancefloor on BBC One later this year.

Radzi has been hosting ever popular kids TV show Blue Peter since 2013 but will front his final show later this month (April).

According to The Sun, a spell inside the Strictly ballroom could his next telly project.

“Bosses are really keen to get Radzi on board. He’s really well loved within the BBC and has a lot of potential,” an insider told the tabloid.

The source suggested that Radzi could have similar success to fellow BBC presenter Stacey Dooley, who won last year’s series.

“Radzi already has a lot of younger fans and is likely to get all their parents’ votes, but he’s bound to win over the public because he is just so likeable,” they added.

As it happens, it wouldn’t actually be Radzi’s first time on Strictly.

In 2017 he took part in a one-night Children In Need special with a number of other Blue Peter hosts.

Radzi joined Anthea Turner, Tim Vincent, Konnie Huq, Mark Curry, Diane-Louise Jordan and Tim Vincent on the show, where he was partnered with former pro dancer Chloe Hewitt.

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 will launch in September, with the line up typically confirmed in August.

Rylan Clark-Neal, Tamara Ecclestone and Chris Evans are among the names already rumoured for Strictly’s next series.

It may not feature any YouTubers, however, as the professionals have apparently urged bosses to ban social media stars.

Popstars Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton have also both been rumoured for this year’s show, together with Billionaire heiress Tamara Ecclestone.
