Beat The Chasers start date confirmed as show returns for ‘toughest series yet’ with six Chasers

Beat The Chasers is on its way back to ITV with a brand new series.

Bradley Walsh returns to host in this edge-of-your-seat quiz in which contestants are given the option of playing multiple Chasers for increasing amounts of money, but with a decreasing time advantage against them.

Play sees questions swap from contestant to the Chasers. But get a question wrong and their individual or team clock keeps counting down until a question is answered correctly. First to run out of time loses the game.

The new series will begin on Saturday, 11 September at 8:30PM on ITV.

The upcoming series promises to be the toughest yet with all SIX Chasers appearing for the first time ever.

Mark ‘the Beast’ Labbett, Anne ‘the Governess’ Hegerty, Shaun ‘the Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha and Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis will all appear alongside one another.

ITV tease: “Take on all six chasers and contestants will be offered the biggest amounts ever offered on the show, making it the biggest ever challenge for the biggest-ever reward.

“As ever, it’s edge-of-your-seat play as questions swap from contestant to the Chasers. Get a question wrong and their individual or team clock keeps counting down until a question is answered correctly. First to run out of time loses the game.”

The most recent series saw new Chaser Darragh appear for the first time however Paul could not take part after missing filming due to illness.

Ahead of the series airing on TV, Paul assured fans on Twitter he was “feeling much better now”.

He wrote: “New episodes of Beat the Chasers are on their way. Unfortunately, I wasn’t well for the recordings and couldn’t join in this time around. I’m feeling much better now. X.”

Over the past decade, The Chase has become the country’s most popular quiz, attracting millions of viewers in Daytime and picking up multiple awards, including a National Television Award for Best Quiz 2019.

The debut series of Beat The Chasers topped ratings records, becoming the biggest new entertainment series since the launch of BGT.
