It was Scottish 14-year-old contemporary solo dancer Ellie who won The Greatest Dancer’s first ever series in February.

She walked away with a £50,000 prize, a place performing on Strictly Come Dancing and The Greatest Dancer trophy.

Auditions for the second series are now open, with try outs taking place later this year (2019) to air on TV in 2020.

The show is looking for soloists, duos and groups (of up to sixteen people) to take on the performance of a lifetime and show their dance talent to the nation.

The Greatest Dancer is an exciting new dance competition for BBC One from the makers of The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.

The show is looking for all dance styles to take part in the show. To apply, you’ll need to provide a video of your dancing either by uploading a clip or linking to one online (e.g. on YouTube).
