Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain to take part in Strictly Come Dancing next year?

Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain is being tipped to join Strictly Come Dancing next year.

Yes, while the current series may still be very much on air, thoughts are already turning to 2018’s show.

Bake Off champ Nadiya, who won the 2015 series of the then BBC One baking competition, is said to be on a wish list of stars to take part.

Since winning GBBO, Nadiya has fronted her own TV series, released books and, err, made a wonky cake for the Queen.

The Sun newspaper says she was invited to last week’s live show for talks with show bosses.

“Producers have openly said how much they would like to get Nadiya on the show,” a source claimed. “They think she’d be a great fit and is hugely popular with BBC audiences.

“Nadiya is a big fan and loved getting the star treatment at the weekend. They pulled out all the stops and made her feel at home.”

Meanwhile, TOWIE star Amy Childs is hoping for a call from Strictly Come Dancing bosses next year.

The reality TV regular has revealed ambitions of appearing in the BBC One series, which is currently airing its fifteenth series on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Amy, who rose to fame on now ITVBe reality show The Only Way Is Essex, said: “I would love to do Strictly Come Dancing.

“I’m not the best dancer so it’d be amazing to be able to dance after and I’d adore all the outfits, and getting a spray tan every week. I do love Strictly – that is the one.”

For now, Strictly is back on Saturday night on BBC One as the current crop of celebs fight for a place at the Blackpool special.
