The Apprentice has been renewed by BBC One for at least three more series.
The show will continue on the channel until 2020 under a new three-year-deal, it’s been reported by Broadcast.
A peak audience of 7 million watched last year’s final, up on the past two years.
An average audience of 6.5 million tuned in for the season finale last month as Lord Sugar revealed who won The Apprentice 2017.
The numbers for the main episode were up on 2016’s audience of 6 million and 2015’s 5.3 million.
While the latest run has only just finished, filming for what will be the fourteenth series will begin in just a few months’ time.
It was Sarah Lynn AND James White who won The Apprentice last year. The surprise outcome was a first for the show in its history, as Lord Sugar decided to invest his cash in both candidates.
In a shock twist, when faced with the decision between the two contestants, Lord Sugar decided it was a dead heat, and picked both to be his business partner.
Both winners received a £250,000 business investment and 50/50 partnership with the multi-millionaire business mogul.
To date Apprentice boss Lord Sugar has given out £2 million to fledgling businesses and another £250,000 investment will be up for grabs in 2018.
