Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway ‘planning Las Vegas finale for next series’

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway bosses have apparently begun planning a spectacular Las Vegas finale for next year’s run.

The ITV hit has become known for sending scores of lucky viewers around the globe for its end-of-series send-offs.

In 2016, Takeaway aired live from a P&O cruise shop in Barcelona, while 2017 saw it visit Walt Disney World.

The show returned to Florida this year, giving 250 fans ‘places on the plane’ to Universal Orlando Resort.

While the series has only just ended, bosses are already considering where to go next.

According to The Daily Star, they recently visited Las Vegas to investigate potential venues for filming.

Takeaway is known for going to great lengths to pull off its stunts. One recent audience surprise was in the works for two years before it aired.

While they may have an idea of where they’re going abroad, chiefs will also have to find a new location for the show in the UK.

The latest run was the last to be filmed at The London Studios, with Dec paying tribute to the iconic facility on-air.

One thing that is up in the air is whether Ant will be back in action for the next series.

The Geordie host is likely to spend at least a year in rehab following his conviction for drink-driving.

A source recently told the Mirror that “no-one has any idea” when he’ll return to our screens.

“He’ll be off for as long as it takes him to get better,” they said. “Work is not even being discussed with him. The only priority is him getting better.”

Dec recently made his solo hosting debut on Takeaway, and will also appear alone on the Britain’s Got Talent live shows, due to air next month.
