Andrew Lancaster had the Britain’s Got Talent judges in stitches tonight with his comedy impressions.
As auditions continued this evening we met 32-year-old Andrew from Lancashire.
“I do impressions,” said Andrew, whose day jobs include working in a biscuit factory.
“I suppose the dream would be to have my own impression sketch show one day,” he told the judges, “It’s a big dream, a big dream.”
“That’s what it’s all about, best of luck,” encouraged Simon Cowell.
Andrew went on to perform impressions of celebrities including Donald Trump, Brian Cox, and Russel Brand.
However his take on Nigel Farage prompted boos.
After the audition, Simon said: “You know what was great, it was topical and it was current. It’s really cool.”
Alesha Dixon was an instant fan while David Walliams flirted: “You’re kinda hunky, you’re easy on the eye.”
With a total of four yeses, Andrew was put through to the next round, where he’ll be hoping to make the live shows.
Other acts this weekend included ‘silent comic’ Lost Voice Guy and a moving performance from dance group RISE.
The group performed a dance with wheelchairs to help one of the members, Hollie Booth, get back into dancing following injuries she sustained during the Manchester terror attack in 2017.
We also met Cali Swing, a group of 10 dancers aged 9-14 years old, living in London. All of the children are from a Latin American background and danced to a salsa song.
As always, acts needed three or more yeses to make it through to the next round and potentially on to the live shows.
Making up the judging panel this year once more are Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.
Meanwhile, hosts Ant and Dec will be present for the auditions, before Dec goes solo for the live shows.
Britain’s Got Talent 2018 continues Saturday nights on ITV.
