America’s Got Talent winner crowned but who won in the final?

12-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer has won America’s Got Talent.

In this week’s live final, Darci beat the competition to be crowned the latest America’s Got Talent winner, scooping a $1 million prize.

In a tense final result, Darci went up against fellow youngster, 9-year-old singer Angelica Hale.

Both acts had wowed the judges but it was the viewers who had the final say and Darci finished the night with the most votes.

In third place was Light Balance, a dance group who previously made the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2014, while singer-songwriter Mandy Harvey was in third and dog act Sara and Hero finished 4th.

Winner Darci Lynne had previously won the golden buzzer during her audition back in June and is now the favourite to win the US series.

Judge Mel B was the one to give Darci a spot in the next round straight from the auditions.

In the Quarter-Finals, Darci impressed once again to make the semi-finals this week where she topped the public vote to make the grand final later this month.

Over 3 million people watched her performance online within 24 hours, as the youngster revealed her latest character Edna Doorknocker.

The elderly lady revealed a huge crush on Simon Cowell, flirting with the music mogul as he sat behind the judges desk.

Simon Cowell is his usual scathing but entertaining self as head of the panel alongside comedian Howie Mandel, spicey Mel B and model mum Heidi Klum.
