Speaking about the new special previously, Simon said: “I have always wanted to have a competition show for the very best of the best ‘Got Talent’ acts from around the world.

“The variety and the talents of the acts who enter ‘Got Talent’ globally are incredible and unbelievable. Since ‘America’s Got Talent’ was where it all started, I’m absolutely delighted to be launching this on NBC.”

The show will mark a big comeback for Susan Boyle, who became one of Britan’s Got Talent’s biggest stars after her audition – which saw her singing I Dreamed A Dream – went viral.

Although she didn’t actually win the series, with dance group Diversity taking the title, Susan was signed by Simon and has since released a number of albums.

Meanwhile, Simon recently praised Susan – nicknamed SuBo – alongside series one winner Paul Potts for making the show. Both will be competing in the all Stars series.

“I think her and Paul in particular, they defined the show which is giving the underdog a shot and then they had a career, and I don’t think another show could have done that,” Simon said.

The latest series of Britain’s Got Talent was won by comedian Lost Voice Guy in June, who will also be competing.
