Over 3 million people have watched Alisah Bonaobra’s AMAZING X Factor UK audition already.
Which is pretty impressive given the performance only aired last weekend.
The Voice of the Philippines runner up Alisah Bonaobra auditioned for The X Factor UK 2017 last Saturday night in the penultimate round of auditions.
22-year-old singer Alisah is from Manila, Philippines where she finished as runner up on their version of The Voice.
Hoping for better success on The X Factor, Alisah performed Beyoncé’s Listen in this weekend’s room auditions.
“I believe my talent is world class and I’m here to represent all the Filipino community here in the UK,” she said.
“I first started singing when I was five and since then I’ve never stopped,” Alisah continued, before explaining she currently performs to support her family.
“We don’t have enough money for ourselves,” Alisah added.
Alisah went on to perform a cover of Beyoncé’s Listen before getting four yeses from the impressed judges.
Alisah told the panel: “This X Factor journey is very memorable for me because I dedicate this fight for my family way back in the Philippines. I’m only here because of my mother’s friend, who contributed enough money for a plane ticket, just to audition here.”
Since her audition, Alisah has become one of the favourites to win alongside the likes of Grace Davies – who impressed in the first week with an original song – and brother duo Sean and Conor Price.
But can she follow in the footsteps of her fellow Filipino X Factor contestants 4th Impact? The girls made it as far as the Quarter Finals of the competition in 2015.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see with Alisah currently through to bootcamp which begins this weekend.
The X Factor airs Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
