Alfonso Ribeiro to guest judge Strictly Come Dancing as Bruno Tonioli misses live show

Bruno Tonioli will miss another of Strictly Come Dancing’s live shows, it’s been revealed.

For the third year in a row, Bruno will take a weekend off later this year.

He will be replaced by guest judge, US actor Alfonso Ribeiro who previously stepped in for Bruno last year.

Alfonso will takeover’s Bruno’s seat next weekend on Saturday, October 19 and results show on Sunday, October 20.

The BBC said: “Twelve celebrity couples remain in the race to be crowned Strictly Come Dancing champion 2019.

“Each of them will take to the floor in a bid to impress the awesome foursome judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and returning guest judge Alfonso Ribeiro, in the studio, as well as viewers at home.”

Bruno added: “He’s been briefed, he’s going to be even more energetic than me. He’s great.”

The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star previously won the US version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars, in 2014.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be back in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom to host the fifth live show next weekend.

The 12 remaining couples will each take to the floor in a bid to impress Alfonso, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood, as well as the viewers at home.

Strictly Come Dancing will air at 6:40PM next Saturday night on BBC One.

On Sunday at 7:15PM will be the fourth results show of the series as it’s revealed which couples will continue to this year’s spooktacular Strictly Halloween special.

The Strictly professionals will bring out their inner divas in an extravagant red carpet themed opening.

Meanwhile, the week’s musical performance comes from rising RnB superstar Mabel, who will be singing her huge hit, Don’t Call Me Up.
