Alan Carr has reportedly been approached to join Strictly Come Dancing next year.
Not a week after the 2018 series wrapped up, bosses are said to already be trying to sign names for next year’s show.
Comedian and TV host Alan has apparently been approached having made a cameo appearance in Saturday’s final.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Alan has met with the bosses and they all hit it off straight away.
“He’s a perfect celebrity for Strictly because he’s popular, funny and throws himself into everything — but has never had a day’s dance training in his life. What’s certain is he won’t hold back.”
Earlier this month, host Tess Daly confirmed producers were already in talks with stars for 2019.
“We’ve already been plotting and planning which celebrities are going to be approached next year,” she revealed to The Sun newspaper. “People have already been approached for next year.
“I’ve heard there’s a few who have already confirmed.”
For now, we can only wait and see if any of the rumours turn out to be true.
It was Stacey Dooley who won Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday, triumphing over fellow finalists Ashley Roberts, Faye Tozer and Joe Sugg to the glitterball.
The result wasn’t much of a surprise, with Stacey considered the hot favourite to win going into the live show.
And while she wasn’t top of the leaderboard, viewer votes alone crowned her the winner on the night just as was predicted.
Strictly Come Dancing will be back for its new series in 2019.
Before then you can get your Strictly fix over Christmas with the latest festive special.
Six former celebs will return to the dancefloor, including Anita Rani (series 13), Ann Widdecombe (series 8) and Caroline Flack (series 12).
Joining them to rock around the Christmas tree are Aston Merrygold (series 15), Jake Wood (series 12) and Michael Vaughan (series 10).
The Strictly Xmas special airs Christmas Day, 5:30PM on BBC One.
