X Factor singer Jake Quickenden has become the latest celebrity tipped to join the Dancing On Ice 2018 line up.
ITV confirmed Dancing On Ice’s return earlier this year, with the show airing what will be its tenth series in January.
ITV said: “With a brand new cast of celebrities plucked from the world of TV, music and showbiz, a refreshed line up of skating professionals, a spectacular new set, and more ambitious routines than ever before, the show’s revival will prove unmissable event television.”
As yet no celebs have been confirmed for the Dancing On Ice cast but there have been a lot of rumours.
The latest name linked to the show is singer and former I’m A Celebrity camper Jake Quickenden.
“Jake was a massive hit with the ladies during his stints on The X Factor and I’m A Celeb,” a source told The Sun newspaper. “Producers want him to bring the eye-candy to Dancing On Ice too. He hasn’t got any skating experience but is already super-confident.
“He’s fearless and they feel they’ll be able to push him week after week.”
Cricketer Ebony Rainford-Brent and Olympian Amber Hill are also on the rumoured Dancing On Ice lineup, alongside Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, rugby star Max Evans, celebrity psychic Sally Morgan.
More potential all star contestants are reigning Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, Loose Women panellist Saira Khan and soap actress Katie McGlynn.
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks stars Stephanie Waring, Sarah Jayne Dunn and Anna Passey, are all reportedly fighting for a place on the cast.
It’s understood that up to 50 potential celebrity contestants had tried out for the show.
Others who have been linked to the series are Love Island contestant Kem Cetinay, England cricketing legend Monty Panesa, Corrie star Brooke Vincent, model Nicola McLean and X Factor’s Honey G.
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will return in the new year to host what will be Dancing On Ice’s tenth series, its first since 2014.
