X Factor star Grace Davies is “writing every single day” for her debut album.
The runner up to last year’s series has signed a record deal to Simon Cowell’s Syco record label.
Grace penned her contract last month, after finishing behind Rak-Su in December’s final.
“Grace’s talent shone through on X Factor – not only as a singer but as an excellent songwriter in her own right,” a source told The Sun at the time. “Everyone is really excited about what she is going to be doing next.”
A spokesperson confirmed: “We can confirm that Grace will be signing to Syco Music.”
Now speaking about her plans for the album, Grace promised fans a LOT of original music.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’m pretty certain I won’t just be given songs.
“I need this album to be personal to me and I need it to come from my heart and my brain so it will all be written by me.
“I am writing and writing every single day. It has got to be perfect for me and I don’t want to release s***.”
As for when Grace’s album will be released, she wouldn’t be drawn on timings.
“There isn’t a timeframe. I am just completely taking my time,” Grace said.
“The fans have been amazing and I want to give them music but it has got to be perfect,” she added.
For now, Grace will be heading out on The X Factor tour with the other finalists from last year’s series.
The first performance takes place in Belfast on February 13 before ending in Brighton in March.
