Cher Lloyd has spoken out about her ‘feud’ with Cheryl and why the pair no longer talk.
Appearing on TV yesterday (Wednesday), Cher admitted she’s not heard from her X Factor mentor in a while.
But the singer insisted it wasn’t because they have had a falling out.
“I haven’t heard from her in a long time. I mean, she’s so busy with her baby,” Cher told ITV’s Lorraine.
And on Cheryl’s relationship with One Direction’s Liam Payne, Cher admitted: “I never would have guessed it.”
However the former X Factor finalist, who appeared alongside One Direction in 2010’s series, added: “But they look so cute together and they make a really great couple.”
She then continued: “Just to see what everyone’s done since X Factor, it’s just incredible.
“I was on the best year; hands down, it was the best year. They will never have a year like that.”
Cher appeared on Lorraine to talk about her recent pregnancy and album announcement.
Last month Cher announced she was expecting her first child later this year.
And as well as the big baby announcement, Cher also revealed plans to return to music after some time out.
Cher’s debut album Sticks + Stones was released in 2011 before aptly titled follow up Sorry I’m Late dropped three years later.
In a post on her social media accounts in January, Cher said: “As you all know, making music and singing is where it all began for me, it’s what makes me truly happy, and I wanted to get back to that happy place once again, enter the studio and focus on simply making great music for you all.
“I’m so happy to announce that I now have a collection of amazing new songs (that I cannot wait to share with you all!), but also, there’s another reason why I’m writing to you today and that’s because I am beyond thrilled to inform you all that my husband Craig and I are also expecting our first child in May!!!”
Cher went on: “We are absolutely over the moon to share this news with you all.
“I am so excited to enter this new chapter in my life, surrounded by family I love, a supportive team around me and with music I’ve worked super hard on and am so excited and proud to reveal to you later in the year.
“And now we’re going to have a little baby to enjoy this experience with us along the way!
“Thank you all for being so patient, as you now know, I’ve been a busy little bee but I promise it’ll be worth the wait!”
The 24-year-old concluded: “I’m excited for all that 2018 has in store for me and I can’t wait to see you all very soon!”
Cher finished third on The X Factor in 2010 behind Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction and eventual winner Matt Cardle.
