The X Factor: The Band has revealed its winner in Sunday’s live final results.
Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger returned as judges for X Factor: The Band where a girl and boy group battled it out to be crowned the nation’s new pop sensations.
Auditions started last Monday in front of Simon and Nicole as well as industry advisors including Leona Lewis, Naughty Boy and Ella Eyre.
Acts started their journey in the intimate setting of Simon’s record label office before moving to the arena stages with a live audience where two groups were put together.
X Factor: The Band results – who won?
Sunday (December 16) the two competing bands went head to head live, singing for both the judges and viewers. It was ultimately viewers alone who decided the winner via a vote on the official X Factor app and phone lines.
Host Dermot O’Leary announced the results, with girl group Real Like You winning The X Factor: The Band.
Six make up the girl band: Kellimarie Willis, Jess Folley, Luena Martinez, Seorsia Leagh Jack, Virginia Hampson and Halle Williams.
They beat the boy group boy band Unwritten Rule made up of Boaz Dopemu, Caius Duncombe, Fred Roberts, Harrison Cole, Jed Thomas and Reece Wiltshire-Fessey.
The two competing bands each performed four songs in the live final as viewers decided which of the two bands they wanted to back.
Following their victory, the girl group reprised their winning song, an original track called Be Like Them.
Meanwhile, The X Factor: The Band live final also welcomed back reigning X Factor winner Dalton Harris to perform live.
He appeared singing his brand new single Cry which is out to download and stream this weekend.
