Tracy Leanne Jefford has admitted to being unsure of her song choice on The X Factor.
Yesterday evening saw the second half of the latest round of live shows of The X Factor 2017 with the new format.
The contestants this year are performing in separate nights in their categories and on Sunday evening the Overs and Girls were in the spotlight.
And it was Tracy Leanne Jefford Dean who was next to be voted off the show, following in the footsteps of Leon Mallet who was eliminated on Saturday night following the Boys and Groups’ performances.
Chatting today (Monday), Tracy suggested her song choice may have contributed to her exit.
Tracy performed J Lo’s Ain’t Your Mama for what was X Factor’s first ever Viva Latino week.
“I don’t think it was the right song choice for me,” Tracy said on ITV’s Lorraine, “But I do like something with a bit of sass.
“I can’t blame the song choice but nevertheless I enjoyed every minute of it.”
Despite an early exit, Tracy praised her time on The X Factor for giving her more confidence.
The singer, who originally touched the judges with her story at the first audition, explained: “Everyone is beautiful in their own way. I feel like a different person.
“I feel so much more confident in myself.”
While Tracy and Leon were sent home at the weekend, Rak-Su and Kevin Davy White were revealed as the latest two acts to top the public vote.
The pair went head to head in a new ‘prize fight’ which saw Kevin win time in the studio with a top record producer.
The X Factor 2017 continues this Saturday at 8:10PM and Sunday night at 7:30PM on ITV.
Guest stars will be Harry Styles and Paloma Faith.
