The X Factor judges line up set to see some big changes for 2018

The X Factor 2018 judges line up may be very different to last year.

According to the latest rumours, Simon Cowell is planning a major revamp of the panel.

It could see Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne ALL leaving.

Former judges Cheryl and Dannii Minogue, plus current Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, could replace them. Craig David, Kylie Minogue and Mariah Carey are also touted as potential new faces to the ITV show.

The dramatic move may be made despite Louis and Sharon already signing contracts for 2018.

“Louis and Sharon are both contracted to return this year, but Simon and the producers have lost faith,” an insider alleged to The Sun newspaper today.

The source didn’t hold back, branding the pair “terrible on the panel last year.”

The insider added of Nicole’s fate: “Nicole was a passionate judge but has no contract and won’t be back this year in order to bring in fresh blood.”

If Louis is axed it’d be his THIRD time leaving the show.

He first left in 2007 only to be brought back later in the series. Louis was then again dropped for the show in 2015, once more returning in 2016.

“Louis and Simon remain great friends and it’s not a simple decision to let him go,” an insider said.

A show source told The Sun: “There are no plans for Nicole to return to The X Factor this year. Other announcements about the judging line-up will be made in due course.

“It is possible either Sharon or Louis could still return because both have contracts.”

As yet, no official announcements have been made by either ITV or The X Factor.

Currently, early X Factor open auditions are underway across the country which close on July 1.
