The X Factor 2018 winner’s singles have been revealed ahead of this weekend’s show.
The X Factor 2018 final airs 7:30PM this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV, live from Wembley Arena.
Those in the final are Scarlett Lee, 20 from Surrey, Anthony Russell, 28 from Liverpool, and Dalton Andre Harris, 24 from Jamaica.
Over the weekend they will perform the three times, including their potential winners songs.
This year, the three finalists have all recorded a cover together a some familiar names to be released to download and stream if they win the show.
Dalton has recorded Power of Love with 2012 X Factor winner James Arthur.
Scarlett Lee’s potential winner’s track is One More Sleep with 2006 X Factor champ Leona Lewis
Anthony Russell has been in the studio with Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson, singing I Predict a Riot.
The trio will perform their potential winner’s songs in Sunday’s show.
The Sun newspaper reports that it’s hoped that making the winner’s single a duet could help improve its chart performance.
A source explained: “The X Factor no longer has a monopoly on the Christmas No1 like in the early days, so this exciting spin on the winner’s single will ensure it is in the running. James, Leona and the Kaiser Chiefs are friends of the show and were happy to lend their vocals to the winner’s singles, even though only one of the records will see the light of day.
“While Dalton, Anthony or Scarlett have to share the glory, the chance to collaborate with one of the country’s biggest acts on their first ever release is an added perk.”
It’s not the first winner’s song to feature a duet – last year’s champs Rak-Su released their winner’s single Dimelo together with Wyclef Jean and Naughty Boy.
Meanwhile, The X Factor finalists will also perform another duet in Saturday’s show.
Anthony will sing with Tom Walker, Dalton will perform with Emili Sande and Scarlett will duet with X Factor judge Robbie Williams.
The X Factor 2018 final begins tonight on Saturday, December 1 at 7:30PM on ITV.
Guest acts performing on Saturday’s show are Anne Marie, James Arthur and George Ezra. On Sunday will be Take That, Chic and Ellie Goulding.
