Why Craig David is joining Love Island revealed

Love Island fans have been sent into a spin after it was revealed Craig David is entering the villa.

But just why is Craig on Love Island 2019?

He’s not there to look for love, instead appearing as part of a special surprise for the Islanders.

Craig will DJ a Ministry Of Sound pool party in the villa on Sunday night.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Craig loves the show and was excited to meet everyone and get the party started.

“It was just what everyone needed after a difficult few days with the recoupling.”

Taking to Twitter today, Craig shared online: “Excited to be on @LoveIsland this Sunday for the @ministryofsound party this year ♥️?”

He added: “I’ll be bringing the @TS5 vibes and performing my new single When You Know What Love Is ✨”

Meanwhile, fans of the show have been reacting to the teaser at the end of Friday’s instalment.

At first many weren’t too sure what Craig David was going in Love Island for.

“I THOUGHT CRAIG DAVID WAS COMING TO GET SOME #loveisland” tweeted one.

Another posted: “What is Craig David doing man ??? #LoveIsland”

And a third shared: “I love Craig David but I’m so confused.”

Craig’s DJ set with the Islanders will air in Sunday night’s episode at 9PM on July 7.

Alongside the party, there’s set to be more drama for Amy and Curtis.

After they broke up, Maura revealed feelings for the ballroom dancer.

And it appears as though she makes a move in the latest episode, with a teaser clip showing the couple dancing.

An unimpressed Amy watches on and comments: “What a p***k.”
