Alexandra Burke wins Great British Celebrity Bake Off special with ‘pet hate cake’

Alexandra Burke won tonight’s The Great British Celebrity Bake Off special Channel 4.

Back with five episodes for Stand Up To Cancer, The Great British Bake Off’s celebrity specials started tonight (March 9) at 8PM on Channel 4.

In every episode four famous names join the iconic Bake Off tent all eager to win over judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills – but only one celebrity in each episode will be awarded with the coveted star baker apron.

This week’s four celebs entering the Bake Off tent by host Matt Lucas were Star Wars actor Daisy Ridley, comedian Rob Beckett, pop star Alexandra Burke and comedian Tom Allen.

The all star bakers faced a trio challenges set by judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.

In tonight’s episode they started by making millionaire shortbread in the Signature before being set a vegan raspberry and chocolate tart recipe in the Technical.

For the showstopper challenge, the celebs had to create their pet hates as cakes.

Daisy’s cake represented her hate of leaving the toilet seat up; Rob created a motorway diversion sign cake; Tom’s cake was a car horn and Alexandra brought messed up bed sheets to life in cake form.

As always, Prue and Paul judged all the creations before selecting the star baker.

And this week it was Alexandra who left the tent as the proud owner of the star baker apron.

The celebrity bakers are standing up to the challenges, and to cancer, and inspiring viewers to do the same.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer continues Tuesdays at 8PM on Channel 4.
