Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? sees £1,000,000 question asked

Jeremy Clarkson asks Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’s £1,000,000 question for the first time in over 10 years tonight.

A brand new series of the most famous quiz in the world returns every night at 9PM this week, from Monday, March 4.

Hosted once again by Jeremy Clarkson. Six contestants vie to win the chance of answering 15 questions correctly to win £1,000,000. Four lifelines – Phone a Friend, 50:50, Ask the Audience and Ask the Host – can help them on their way.

Although Jeremy did admit: “Last year, as people will remember very well, I was almost entirely useless [with Ask the Host]. To a certain extent, I’ve continued that tradition this time out. Occasionally I accidently knew something, but not as often as I would have liked.

“It’s so annoying, because sometimes, you’ll get to the £125,000 question and you go, I know this. But they’ve already asked you and used the lifeline on something like the Kardashians that you don’t know.”

The five part series, which will air at 9pm every night this week, returns with a bang this evening as viewers will see Jeremy Clarkson ask the £1,000,000 question.

On asking the question for the very first time since the shows return in 2018, Jeremy said “Well, I can hardly believe it. I didn’t actually believe I’d say it but I’m going to…”.

The contestant in the hot seat tonight, an English teacher from Birmingham, plays a fantastic game – especially considering he struggled to answer the £2,000 question and had to use a lifeline to proceed.

This is the first time viewers will get to see the millionaire pound question since 2006. To date, there has been five £1 million winners since Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? burst onto TV screens.

Jeremy Clarkson was in awe and said: “What a player, what a fabulous player” and calls the game play “extraordinary”.
