Who is Sea Slug on The Masked Dancer REVEALED in semi-final – SPOILER

Sea Slug has become the latest contestant to be unmasked on The Masked Dancer.

The Masked Dancer UK 2022 is airing weekends on ITV.

The show sees famous faces battle to put on the most impressive dance performance while keeping their identities hidden behind mesmerising masks and costumes.

One of the masked dancers on the series this year is Sea Slug.

Who is Sea Slug on The Masked Dancer?

At the end of the semi-final (15 October), Sea Slug was unmasked as Olympian Denise Lewis.

She told host Joel Dommett: “It’s been outstanding, seriously!”

Of keeping the secret she said: “That has been the most challenging part of doing the show – not being able to say a word.”

In their first dance, Sea Slug performed to When I Grow Up by Pussycat Dolls before dancing to Rockabye by Clean Bandit, Sean Paul and Anne-Marie. Their latest two routines were to Let’s Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez and Under The Sea from The Little Mermaid.

In a cryptic clue to the panel, they teased: “You’ve gotta hand it to me, this Sea Slug knows how to scrub up well” while their VT featured clues into a Donald Trump Maga-style hat.

Further clues included a smiley face in their autograph and the word “Goddess”.

Fans correctly identified that sports star Denise was behind the mask.

One on Twitter remarked: “Sea Slug 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 sound like Denise Lewis #TheMaskedDancer”

Another claimed: “Sea Slug is definitely Denise Lewis. A Google search shows she does that smiley face shown in the extra clue on her autograph. #MaskedDancerUK”

And a third announced: “#SeaSlug on @MaskedSingerUK is definitely Denise Lewis!!”

On the panel and Denise Lewis was also been put forward as a guess as well as Alex Scott and Becky Adlington.

The Masked Dancer’s second series continues on Saturday nights on ITV.

Other masked dancers in the competition in 2022 are Pig, Odd Socks, Scissors, Prawn Cocktail, Pillar and Post, Astronaut, Onomatopoeia, Tomato Sauce, Pearly King, Cactus and Candlestick.

Three celebs have been officially unmasked so far – Astronaut, Pig and Prawn Cocktail.

Joel Dommett presents The Masked Dancer UK second season joined by judges Oti Mabuse, Peter Crouch, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross.
