Who is Blob on The Masked Singer? Their true identity has been confirmed!
The Masked Singer UK is back airing Saturday evenings on ITV.
The series sees famous faces go head to head to put on the best musical performance all while their identities are hidden behind elaborate masks and costumes.
One of the contestants on the second series is Blob – Blob has many eyes but will all eyes and ears be on Blob?!
In their first appearance on the show Blob performed Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson before returning for their second performance with Cameo’s Word Up!. In week 3 they performed Hotel Room Service by Pitbull while week four saw Blob singing Addicted To Love by Robert Palmer.
Who is Blob on The Masked Singer?
In the latest episode, Blob was unmasked as actor, comedian and TV personality Sir Lenny Henry.
Ever since Blob first performed, viewers were sure they recognised the voice.
“Who thinks blob is Lenny Henry? #MaskedSingerUK” one wrote on Twitter.
Another added: “Watching #TheMaskedSingerUK I reckon The Blob is deffo Lenny Henry”
A third agreed: “Watching #TheMaskedSingerUK and am thinking Blob=Lenny Henry????.”
On the show, Blob revealed clues including that they had recorded a demo for Simon Cowell.
Their VT also revealed they wear glasses and hinted they had a connection to schools or teaching.
In week two, Blob shared two truths and a lie: “I was named after a doctor”, “This blob is anything but squishy”, “I’m related to my sidekick”.
Davina correctly guessed Blob’s identity but other guesses from the panel included Stephen Fry and even Morgan Freeman.
The Masked Singer 2021 continues Saturday nights on ITV.
More contestants in the series in 2021 are Dragon, Seahorse, Sausage, Alien, Grandfather Clock, Robin, Viking, Bush Baby, Badger, Swan and Harlequin.
