The Voice UK coaches Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones are working on a duet.
The two veterans of The Voice UK will team up on a new single.
Sir Tom has spilled that he and the Black Eyed Peas star are to set to head into the studio for an unlikely collaboration.
“I spend a lot of time with Will off screen, whenever I can,” Sir Tom told The Sun newspaper. “When I was living in Los Angeles I saw Will nearly all the time out there.
“He’s been asking me for ages when we can collaborate, and it is going to happen,” Sir Tom continued. “It sounds like a great idea, we’re just working to get the right song, then we’re going to do it.”
Sir Tom returned to The Voice UK last year after the show moved to ITV, and reckons he definitely has the winner this series.
However, he confessed: “I think this year there are more really good singers than we have had before so it is going to be more difficult.”
The legendary singer, who has been on the show for six series in total, went on: “I like helping other singers. I like passing on my experience and explaining what I feel a singer needs to do to be successful, and this is the best way for me to do that.
“It is like singing itself – I am doing something I would do anyway but this is part of my profession now, coaching, just like singing is. I love it, I love doing it and I love helping people. It is part of my life and the way I have always felt about music and the business, to give back to aspiring artists and try and help them along.
“I want to pass on my knowledge and experience. Being on this show is perfect for that, particularly as I have been in the business so long.”
The Voice UK continues Saturday nights on ITV.
