Two X Factor groups have had to change their names ahead of the live shows.
Boy band Vibe 5 are now known as United Vibe.
The boy band is made up of 18-year-old Jon Guelas Burrell, 16-year-old Jack Tisdale, 16-year-old Blaise, 18-year-old Elliot Horne and 21-year-old Kieran Harrison.
They were put together at the Six Chair Challenge after originally auditioning as soloists.
“We’re now called United Vibe, we were called Vibe 5 and it feels really good. “We’re united, we’re one unit, we’re a team. It’s exciting,” Elliot said of the change.
Jon added to The Sun newspaper: “Initially I think it was more legal reasons but then as a group we came up with the idea of having United Vibe, so United obviously meaning being one and Vibe because we all want to give off a vibe.”
And Jack revealed: “We wanted to keep the word Vibe as well because a lot of fan accounts have been set up as ‘Vibers’ and then they wouldn’t have a name for themselves so we wanted them to keep it.”
They said of the upcoming live shows: “Live TV is huge, we can’t wait for the all the dancing, the sound, the huge stage, it’s a huge production it’s going to be sick and we can’t wait.”
Also changing their name are duo Acacia, 15 and Aaliyah, previously known as A-Star. They’re now simply… Acacia & Aaliyah.
The pair are excited for the live shows, declaring confidently: “Our stage presence is good, we just can’t wait for the huge production. We’re going to bring it like we do every performance.”
Other acts in the live shows for the Groups category are the LMA Choir, 18-40 from Liverpool and Misunderstood made up of Stefan, 25 and Jeff, 27 both from London.
The X Factor 2018 live shows begin Saturday at 8:25PM on ITV and continue at 8PM on Sunday.
