Trisha Goddard has become the eleventh confirmed celebrity skater taking part in Dancing on Ice 2020.
The chat show host and TV personality appeared live on Good Morning Britain to confirm the news today (September 30).
On joining the show, Trisha said “I love physical stuff. Every day I bike ride, I weight train, I love any physical thing.
“I learnt to ski at 37, I learnt to roller blade at 42. I’m 62 in December. I thought ‘why not?’ ”
Trisha will now don her skates, alongside eleven other celebrities, in a bid to become champion of the ice.
She joins TV entertainer Michael Barrymore, Love Island’s Maura Higgins, footballer Kevin Kilbane and ITV newsreader Lucrezia Millarini on the line up.
Also confirmed are Steps singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Corrie actress Lisa George, Diversity Perri Kiely, Libby Clegg MBE and TV presenter Joe Swash.
Completing the current confirmed cast is magician Ben Hanlin who appeared live on BBC Radio London yesterday to reveal he’d be taking part.
On joining the show, Ben said “Can I ice skate? Barely. But I did say to the producers ‘if I’m going to do this, can I try to do magic on ice?’ I will try and attempt to put magic into the show if I can. We start tomorrow! On the ice for the very first time.”
The twelfth and final celebrity on the Dancing On Ice 2020 line up will be confirmed soon.
Each week the twelve celebrities will skate live with their professional partners in a bid to impress both the panel and the viewers, who will ultimately decide who wins the show.
This year sees John Barrowman join Torvill and Dean and Ashley Banjo on the panel.
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby once again return to present the show.
Dancing On Ice will air on ITV in the new year.
The series typically airs on Sunday nights in January.
