14-year-old Mykee-D returned to The Voice Kids this weekend after previously auditioning for the show last year, where he didn’t get any spins.
“After my audition last year, social media just went a bit mad. The response I got from the public was amazing,” said Mykee-D.
He added before his performance: “I know what it’s like so hopefully I’ll be a bit less nervous this time. From last year I’ve got more experience. I’ve been doing lots of gigs just to keep improving.
“Today’s a massive day for me because I’m fighting for another chance and I’m really hoping a coach will turn their chair.”
For his 2019 audition, Mykee-D performed Ain’t Nobody by Jasmine Thompson/Chaka Khan and got a much deserved spin from Danny Jones.
“You’ve really grown!” reacted Danny.
He added: “You’re almost capable of anything. To go away and work hard and come back and do it all again, it’s meant to be.”
“You sprouted!” joked Will.i.am. “I salute you. Most people don’t have the courage to step up and do it again.”
Pixie added: “You were meant to get no turns last year to come back this year.”
