Two acts have been voted off The Greatest Dancer in tonight’s latest results.
It was the third week of the challenge shows this weekend and six acts remained – but two more were seen heading home tonight.
Dance captains Cheryl, Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison returned with their contestants in a bid to make next weekend’s grand final.
After all had performed live for a third time it was over to viewers to vote for their favourite. Once lines had closed, the two acts with the fewest votes were revealed.
The Greatest Dancer results
In this weekend’s The Greatest Dancer results it was Dan Bates Collective and Frobacks who were voted off.
It was a double loss for Cheryl, who reacted: “It’s been my pleasure to have all of my acts. The boys are incredibly talented, the girls are incredibly talented. You never know how these things are going to go. I don’t think this is the last we’ll hear of them, they’re too talented.”
Following the third results, Cheryl’s squad for the final is now made up of duo Harry & Eleiyah.
Still in the running for Oti are Latin formation group KLA and 14-year-old contemporary solo dancer Ellie Fergusson.
And competing in Matthew’s team in the final is duo James & Oliver.
In the live challenge shows, each act was given a new challenge each week for their performance. It could be a prop they need to include or a theme they must incorporate into their routine.
As well as the viewer votes, the audience at the The Greatest Dancer studio could also vote for their favourite. Although it did not impact the result, this week Ellie and duo Harry & Eleiyah topped the studio audience vote for a second week running.
Meanwhile, the latest live show saw a special group performance from the dance captains together with the Strictly Come Dancing professionals.
The Greatest Dancer continues next Saturday night on BBC One with the grand final.
One act will be voted for by viewers as The Greatest Dancer, winning a £50,000 prize and the opportunity to perform live on Strictly later this year. The finalists will perform twice, including a routine with their dance captain.
