The Apprentice 2018 results: Fired candidate doesn’t think he was fired

The latest candidate to be fired from The Apprentice 2018 thinks he’s really a winner.

It was Kayode Damali who was fired from The Apprentice this week after a task setting up gardening companies.

Project manager Tom Bunday was in charge of the losing team and brought back Kayode alongside Sabrina Stocker.

There, Kayode found himself the unlucky one to get the boot – but he doesn’t see himself has having been fired.

Speaking after his exit on last night’s show, Kayode declared defiantly: “In my head I’m not fired, I’ve already won. Anyone could take the silver as long as I’d won.

“I was shocked it was me who went. Maybe I was a bit too complacent because I thought Lord Sugar would remember how good I am.”

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Kayode accused Sabrina of playing games in the boardroom.

“I got on with Sabrina, but I wasn’t surprised she turned on me in the boardroom,” he said. “People don’t want to stick it on the project manager in case they get brought back.

“I never ran with that tactic, but I think a lot of people did try to side with the PM so that if they were on the losing team they could say they’d always been on their side.”

The Apprentice 2018 continues next Wednesday night at 9PM on BBC One.

The candidates are told to pack an overnight bag as they head to Glasgow, where they are tasked with becoming art dealers, selecting a contemporary artist’s work to sell at their very own gallery event.
