The first boy has been eliminated from Survival Of The Fittest 2018 in tonight’s results.
Ryan Cleary was given the boot this evening by the girls, following a public vote.
On Friday evening’s show, James got a message: “Boys and Girls, you will be taking part in the next Team Challenge ‘Birds Eye View.’ The teams will compete separately and one member of the losing team will be Replaced.”
The aim of the challenge was to get five golden eggs into their team’s egg holder as quickly as possible. Once each team member – who was blindfolded – had to pick up a golden egg, and navigate their way through a maze and place the egg in a bucket, while being guided by their team mates.
The Boys finished the task in 22 minutes but the girls were victorious with a time of 17 minutes.
It was the girls’ first victory and left the boys in danger. The public were asked to vote to save their favourite Boy out of Callum, David, James, Ryan, Tristan and Warren.
In tonight’s show, Laura entered The Lodge and revealed the three Boys who got the lowest public votes as James, Ryan and David.
She then told the Girls they had to choose out of the bottom three, who they want to Replace and they chose Ryan.
Speaking after his exit tonight, Ryan said: “I’ve had one of the best experiences of my life. I feel that it has helped me learn a lot about myself.
“I had a great time at the challenges and made some amazing friends for life. I loved all my original Boys – James, Warren, Tristan, [David] Lundy and Callum. Amazing guys.
“We all helped each other through. We got through the challenges and we had the best time. I had a great time with the Girls as well – Mettisse, Mariam and Georgie. Jenny was one of my favourite girls in there. She is so down to earth. She was giving us pedicures, massages, she is a lovely girl.”
On losing to the girls’ team after a string of victories, Ryan suggested: “We got a little bit complacent. We got a lot of wins then the new additions to the Girls’ team were strong additions and at a time when we got complacent, the girls got motivated and we got stuck.”
But he thinks the Boys will get back on course and win the series.
“100 percent. The lads have now seen one of us go. They’re going to spin it on it’s head and they’re going to win now all the way to the end,” he said.
Survival Of The Fittest continues nightly on ITV2. The next episode airs Sunday night at 10PM.
