Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has insisted there’s no drama working with ex Kevin Clifton.
The former husband and wife pair are both pro dancers on the show.
Appearing on FUBAR Radio, Karen revealed all to host Stephen Leng about returning to the BBC One series for another year alongside Kevin.
She said: “Most people think that we’d be like ‘oh I don’t like it’, but no. Not at all. We laugh. There is no drama. I don’t like drama baby llama! I’m happy, he’s happy, let’s all be happy!”
When Stephen asked if there was tension, Karen replied: “I’m so proud of him and all the things he’s been doing lately. For us, it’s never been a problem and it never will be a problem. We’re really cool.”
She added: “We absolutely love working together. We’re dancing together. The nice thing is that we don’t have partners that we are dancing with all the time, we switch partners around, so we all get a feel for everybody else.”
Karen was also asked about Kevin and his new relationship with Stacey Dooley, who lifted the glitterball last series after dancing with Kevin.
She shared: “I don’t really know anything about that. When we go in [to rehearsals] we’re literally going crazy with all the routines.
“But you know what he looks extremely happy, so I’m happy that he’s happy.”
Meanwhile, discussing new Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse, Karen said: “I think she’s absolutely fantastic and a great addition.
“She was head judge on German show [Strictly] and she judged Oti there, so it’s never been a problem for any of us and it’s not going to be a problem at all.
“And she’s going to kick butt!”
And as for this year’s celebs, Karen reckoned that Jamie Laing could surprise people.
“I danced with Mark Wright and you’ll be surprised – these people [reality TV stars] are hardcore!” she said. “When I first met Mark I thought ‘oh, he’s just going to look cute’, but actually no. He’s a hard-working man.”
