Ashley Roberts was in the bottom two again in tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2018 results.
It was the third time in the dance off in as many weeks for Ashley, despite topping the judges’ scoreboard.
The result means Ashley would have likely had the fewest votes from viewers.
On Saturday, Ashley and her pro partner Pasha Kovalev danced both a Paso Doble and American Smooth, the latter scoring a perfect 40. To date, Ashley is the only dancer this year to score full marks.
But while the judges were impressed, viewers weren’t as won over.
Ashley was in the bottom two with Lauren Steadman who had been bottom of the scoreboard on Saturday with 53 marks for her two dances. As usual, the results from the public vote were added to the judges’ scores to decide the bottom two in the dance off on Sunday.
Sources on set have claimed Ashley has been left understandably upset by the result.
“Ashley feels she is not wanted on the show and it is terribly sad for her,” one insider told the Daily Mail newspaper. “She is particularly upset because she wasn’t the one who went to the BBC, begging to be signed up for Strictly.
“They approached her, knowing full well what she had done in the past. This has been so sad for Ashley. Imagine going to work when people don’t want you there.”
Fortunately for Ashley, she had the judges on side.

Both Ashley and Ashley performed again for the judges in the dance off, who had to decide which couple should stay in the competition.
Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all voted for Ashley & Pasha to stay, leaving Lauren & pro partner AJ to head home.
Strictly Come Dancing 2018 is back next Saturday, live on BBC One.
Each couple will perform three dances and Tess and Claudia will announce which couple will be crowned the Strictly Come Dancing champions of 2018. Tune in next Saturday 15th December to BBC One at 6.30pm.
