Catherine Tyldesley and Johannes Radebe have spoken out after their surprise Strictly Come Dancing exit.
On Saturday night, Strictly Come Dancing’s celebrity dancers and their professional partners once again each took to the dancefloor to impress the viewers at home – as well as judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood in the studio.
In the bottom two were Mike Bushell and Catherine Tyldesley with the pair having to dance again for the judges to stay in the competition.
In the results, it was Catherine Tyldesley and her partner Johannes Radebe. who left Strictly Come Dancing 2019 this week after the judges saved Mike for a second week running.
Following the results show, viewers took to Twitter to share their reaction to the shock result.
One wrote: “I’m sorry, what? Wrong decision Catherine & Johannes didn’t deserve to go! #Strictly”
Another posted: “Absolutely shocked that Mike got through, he was stomping around the dance floor!”
“Absolutely the wrong couple to go tonight! It’s so off putting to watch Katya shouting the steps at Mike during their dances,” added a third.
And referring to Dev Griffin’s surprise exit earlier in the series, a fourth wrote: “You need some new judges. Another pair that shouldn’t have gone”
Meanwhile, Catherine has taken to social media to praise her pro partner.
“When I started my #Strictly journey my confidence was low. My belief in what I could achieve on the show was extremely low. The expectations on my humble body – beyond low. What @johannesradebe gave me was priceless,” she wrote. “Confidence ,Belief, Love- and Laughter beyond words!”
Catherine continued: “This man is a gift to the world. If there were more people like him the world would be spectacular (with shed loads of #Sas!) He taught me how to walk in high heels, he taught me how to ‘own it’… he taught me to love and appreciate what my body could achieve.
“I’m often low on body confidence- but I’m so proud of the limits that I’ve thoroughly pushed on this wonderful journey. I did it for me. I also did it for the hundreds of mums out there who felt they’d lost a little bit of themselves, the women out there who’d become negative about their body. The women who found it hard to look in the mirror and love what they saw.
“I’m proud of my body and my mind for getting me through this wonderful but incredibly tough experience. Push your limits ladies and be grateful for everything you’re wonderful body can achieve. ‘Dance like NOBODY is watching’”
Johannes posted: “My dear @Cath_Tyldesley thank you for an incredible journey, I’m glad it was you! ❤️, to @bbcstrictly thank you ?? and to everyone who supported our journey, much love from #teamcatjo ?❣️??✨”
Catherine and Johannes will appear live on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on the sofa with Rylan Clark-Neal for their first interview live on Monday 28th October from 6.30pm on BBC Two.
Meanwhile, the remaining ten couples will take to the dancefloor next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday and Sunday night.
