Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed his planned winner’s song on The X Factor.
The singer appeared on the show in 2012 but left in the Quarter Finals in Week 8.
While Rylan didn’t make the final he did get far enough to record a potential winner’s song, even if we didn’t hear it.
Rylan has revealed his winner’s song was a cover of Whitney Houston’s I Want To Dance With Somebody.
We never heard the song on the X Factor, with only the final two – James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas – singing their respective covers, Impossible and Let It Be.
James of course went on to win the series, with Impossible going on to become the biggest selling winner’s single to date.
And if you want more Rylan trivia, Rylan isn’t his real name.
The Bit On The Side presenter was born Ross Richard Clark, adopting his new moniker when modelling as a teenager.
However Ross is a name he still uses in private.
“I leave Rylan at my front door and then I’m Ross at home, that’s what [my husband Dan] and my family call me,” he said last year.
Rylan added: “Then the second I walk out of that front door, I’m Rylan because everyone can see.
“That’s the way I deal with it. It’s not a character or persona, it’s the same person, but Rylan gets away with a lot more.”
