Rylan Clark-Neal has spoken out about rumours he’s set to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
And the singer certainly didn’t deny them.
Earlier this year it was reported that Strictly chiefs were “desperate” to get Rylan on the dancefloor this year, amid rumours Big Brother could be coming to an end.
Rylan currently hosts the spin-off to the Channel 5 show and previously said he’d take part in Strictly if BB ever finished.
According to The Sun, Strictly bosses are “prepared to pull out all the stops” to get Rylan on the show.
“Rylan is charismatic and popular, and the bosses are sure he would be a huge hit on the show,” a source said last month. “He is definitely one of their targets for 2018.”
Speaking this week as he takes over ITV’s This Morning with Emma Willis, Rylan said of Strictly: “Last year, I got the chance to go down there for the first time as previously I’ve always been on The X Factor.
“It was nice to go down and support Ruth Langsford.”
“Never say never,” he teased.
Chatting previously about the show, Rylan said: “I’m being bullied to do Strictly Come Dancing. I’d love to do it but it’s a very big time commitment. ”
The Bit On the Side presenter explained: “I can’t as I’m at Big Brother, the timings would never happen. When Strictly starts, I’m at work still, so I see all the Strictly lot all the time.
“We have about a three week cross over.”
However Rylan could soon have time on his hands, amid reports Big Brother may leave Channel 5.
The new series of Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will air in the summer.
It could well be the last ever, with Channel 5 yet to confirm if they’ll be renewing the show beyond the end of the year.
“I’m hoping it doesn’t go anywhere, but no one’s told me anything yet,” main show host Emma Willis said last month.
Meanwhile, The Chase’s Mark Labbett has also been tipped to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
The line up is usually confirmed around August or September time.
