Ruth Langsford’s husband Eamonn Holmes is ‘urging’ her to step away from Strictly Come Dancing.
The TV presenter couple are favourites with viewers but Ruth hasn’t quite won over the Strictly judges.
Still struggling to make an impact on the leaderboard, Ruth and pro partner Anton Du Beke this weekend have the Tango to Allegretto by Bond.
But an “exhausted” Ruth is having to fit training in not only with her filming schedule but also while dealing with a nasty leg injury.
Eamonn confessed to the Daily Mirror “I say to her, ‘Are you OK? You look exhausted. Is it not time to step away?”
And he candidly concluded: “The chances of her winning are nil.”
But Eamonn added that Ruth was determined to soldier on and get better.
“She is enjoying proving things to herself. I think she loves it,” he added. “The house can be lonely. I work longish hours and when I come home I think ‘Where is Ruthie?’ She’s not there.”
Last weekend saw the second results show of the series as Reverend Richard Coles and his partner Dianne Buswell who left the competition after the dance off with Simon Rimmer.
This weekend another celebrity will be leaving the dance floor.
But before the next elimination, the remaining 13 celebrity and professionals have one more chance to impress the judges and viewers.
As always, the judges will mark their routines before the public votes and combined results will determine the bottom two results for the dance off.
Strictly Come Dancing 2017’s live shows continue this Saturday at 6:45PM on BBC One.
And the results show is on Sunday 15th October at 7.15pm on BBC One as another celebrity is sent home.
