Robbie Williams to open X Factor final with finalists group performance

Robbie Williams will open The X Factor final this weekend, it’s been revealed.

The X Factor judge has no acts in the final after his last group Acacia & Aaliyah were eliminated.

But he will still get plenty of screen time, performing a total of three times over the weekend.

Robbie will open the live show with a group performance alongside all of this year’s contestants who will return to the stage together.

They will perform a medley of Robbie’s hit songs including Let Me Entertain You, Rock DJ and Freedom, The Sun newspaper reports.

A show insider told the tabloid: “Fans have been gunning for Robbie to perform all series and that’s finally going to happen.

“He’s been a real highlight of this year’s show and it was a real feat to get him as a judge, so the medley is going to be a celebration of that.”

Robbie has also been confirmed to be duetting with Simon Cowell’s finalist, Scarlett Lee.

The pair are rumoured to be performing his iconic song Angels together in Saturday’s show.

As well as that, Robbie is tipped to reunite with his Take That bandmates for a special performance to celebrate the group’s 30th Anniversary.

Alongside Scarlett, mentored by Simon Cowell, the acts left in the final are Anthony Russell and Dalton Andre Harris, both mentored by Louis Tomlinson.

Dalton will duet with Emeli Sandé while Anthony will sing with Tom Walker.

The X Factor 2018 final airs this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV with the grand final from 7:30PM, live from Wembley Arena.

More names lined up to perform are former X Factor winner James Arthur together with Anne Marie, Ellie Goulding and George Ezra.

Nile Rogers will also be singing with his group Chic, having previously appeared on the show twice this year as a guest judge.
