It was the second week of the challenge shows this weekend and eight acts remained – but TWO were seen heading home tonight.

Dance captains Cheryl, Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison returned with their contestants in another bid to win over viewer votes.

After all had performed live for a second time it was over to viewers to vote for their favourite. Once lines had closed, the two acts with the fewest votes were revealed.

Leaving The Greatest Dancer this week were commercial-contemporary fusion dance group Company Jinks and street crew Prospects Fraternity.

It was a double loss for Team Matthew, who now has just teenage dance duo James & Oliver on his team.

“Having two go home tonight is not fun but they should be proud. It’s a beautiful moment for them to showcase what they do and a great experience,” he reacted to the news.

Following the second results, Cheryl’s squad is the only one that remains full, made up of all girl dance group Dan Bates Collective, duo Harry & Eleiyah and four piece street group Frobacks.

Oti is down to two acts after losing The Globe Girls in last week’s first elimination. Still in the running for her are Latin formation group KLA and 14-year-old contemporary solo dancer Ellie Fergusson.

In the live shows, each act is given a new challenge each week for their performance. It could be a prop they need to include or a theme they must incorporate into their routine.

As well as the viewer votes, the audience at the The Greatest Dancer studio could also vote for their favourite. This week, Ellie and duo Harry & Eleiyah topped the studio audience vote.

Meanwhile, the show opened with a grand group performance featuring all the acts together with the dance captains.

Plus, there was a special performance from dance group the Ballet Boyz together with Years & Years.

The Greatest Dancer continues next Saturday night on BBC One where another two acts will go.
