Fearne Cotton and Olly Murs tipped for Strictly Come Dancing 2019

Fearne Cotton and Olly Murs have been tipped for Strictly Come Dancing 2019.

Although the most recent series just finished, producers are already working on the line up for next year.

Tess Daly teased earlier this month (December): “We’ve already been plotting and planning which celebrities are going to be approached next year. People have already been approached for next year.

“I’ve heard there’s a few who have already confirmed.”

Those rumoured already range from TV and radio host Fearne Cotton to X Factor star Olly Murs.

BBC journalist Steph McGovern and even current Prime Minister Theresa May have been touted as possible Strictly contestants.

OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton said: “The BBC tend to keep talks quiet, but we know a lot of celebrities are huge fans of the show.

“Fearne Cotton and Steph McGovern have previously been linked and it no surprise to see them linked again.”

He added: “Olly Murs would be a huge coup and clearly he is in the reckoning…

“And who knows? By the time this comes around Brexit could be done and dusted and Theresa May might fancy a new challenge – she is 100/1 to compete.”

Meanwhile, TV and Radio presenter Chris Evans recently claimed he’s agreed to take part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.

Chris admitted he hadn’t ‘signed on the dotted line’ just yet but had informally confirmed to producers he was willing to compete.

“I have said yes,” he said. “Everyone puts it off and tries and keep it a secret. No, announce now. We’re doing it now.”

Alan Carr has also confirmed he too has been approached to join Strictly Come Dancing for 2019.

Comedian and TV host Alan responded to claims that he was set to take to the dancefloor, saying: “They cornered me and said ‘Would you do it?’

“I would do it but listen, I hate those VTs where they’re like, ‘Hello, we’re doing salsa so we’re off to a dips factory’. Like, what?”
