Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions is coming to ITV in the autumn following the success of a similar American show which aired on TV in the States.

The special series will feature acts from the past 13 series of Britain’s Got Talent returning to the stage, competing against one another as well other acts from Got Talent shows across the world, to be crowned Ultimate Champion.

Filming is due to start this week at Wembley Arena but reports suggest the contestants on the line up have yet to be confirmed.

One of BGT’s most iconic acts, Susan Boyle was announced as taking part in the show back last month when the special was first announced.

But now The Sun report that Susan, who appeared in the US version and recently released new album Ten, may be forced to step down due to a hectic schedule.

Her rep told the tabloid: “Susan has a busy year ahead with lots of performances coming up, trips to the US, headlining BBC Proms in September, as well as preparing for her upcoming tour.

“She is enjoying celebrating the decade since she first appeared on BGT and her life changing for the better. She loved being part of AGT Champions and, whether she is able to make it or not, wishes the contestants taking part on BGT Champions the best of luck.”

It’s claimed that 2011 winner Jai McDowall could replace Susan on the line up>

Meanwhile, dance group Diversity, who beat Susan to win the 2009 series, have confirmed they wouldn’t be able to take part.

Diversity choreographer Ashley Banjo explained: “Who would have thought ten years ago when we won BGT we would be preparing for our biggest tour yet, Born Ready.

“While we are unable to take part, we wish all the acts the best of luck.”

However other winners – including series 1 champ Paul Potts and 2014 stars Collabro – are rumoured to be a part of the line up.
