Shayne Ward has been tipped to join the I'm A Celebrity 2018 cast.
The former X Factor winner has been rumoured for this year's series following his exit from Coronation Street.
Shayne left the ITV soap last week after three years on the cobbles.
Now his next big TV gig may already await.
A show insider said: "Shayne has built up a huge and loyal fan base at Corrie and his exit storyline has been talked about up and down the country.
"But behind the scenes he’s also considered one of the nicest men in soap with a quirky sense of humour that would work well in the jungle camp. We think he’s an obvious choice for the new series as he ticks a lot of boxes.
"It would also give him a chance of letting fans get to know him a bit more as he continues his career away from Weatherfield."
His Corrie co-star Kym Marsh has given the idea her backing.
"Now that Shayne Ward has left Corrie, it’s rumoured he might do I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!," she wrote in her OK! Magazine column. “He’d definitely be entertaining if he was to head into the jungle.”
Kym added: “Shayne would be fun and a good sport and he’d probably sing the entire time, as that’s what he used to do all day at work!”
Already a number of other celebrities have been rumoured for the I'm A Celebrity 2018 cast.
The Saturdays' Frankie Bridge is one of the favourites to join the I'm A Celebrity 2018 line up, following in the footsteps of her husband, Wayne Bridge.
Former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens, Love Island's Olivia Attwood, Celebs Go Dating's Charlotte Dawson and Shayne's fellow Corrie actress Catherine Tyldesley are also fancied for a stint on the show this year.
Also rumoured are Love Island and Blazin Squad star Marcel Somerville, snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan, winter Olympian Elise Christie and Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole after his exit from the BBC One series.
I'm A Celebrity typically airs in November on ITV.
