The Real Full Monty set to return with new celebrity line up

The Real Full Monty is reportedly set to return for a second series on ITV.

Harry Judd, Elliot Wright and Matthew Wolfenden were among the stars who bared all for the original TV special earlier this year.

The one-off show marked the iconic film’s 20th anniversary.

As well as celebrating the hit British film, the TV show will also be in aid of male focused charities including Movember, Cancer Research, Everyman and Prostate Cancer UK.

Seven celebrity strippers signed up for the show, which was hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Diversity star Ashley Banjo.

Alongside Harry, Elliot and Matthew they included TV presenter Dom Littlewood and ballet dancer Wayne Sleep.

Following the success of the episode, a second special is supposedly being considered.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “We’re looking for another eight celebs to recreate THAT famous scene.”

Those said to be on the “wishlist” include Love Island’s Chris Hughes, TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent and Coronation Street’s Shayne Ward.

In The Real Full Monty, the celebs learn how to strip tease before they boldly do the Fully Monty, stripping completely nude in front of a 2,000 strong audience, which features in an episode of Tonight at the London Palladium.

Host Alexander Armstrong said ahead of the first series: “We are using this film to raise awareness of men’s cancer prostate and testicular, encouraging guys to check themselves and look out for their friends and act on symptoms if they have them.

“If caught early enough, prostate cancer is nearly 100 per cent curable, but if men are not aware of the problem or ignore symptoms, as story is not such a good one, as prostate cancer kills one man an hour.”

“I hope that by showing these men have the balls to strip off in front of thousands of people, it might encourage otherwise reluctant men to overcome their embarrassment and get themselves checked.”
