Rak-Su tell fans they’re “absolutely buzzing” after ‘leaving record label’

Rak-Su have reassured fans following reports that they had left their record label.

The four-piece group won The X Factor after impressing viewers with their slick performances and original music.

They went on to release a number of singles and EPs after signing a record deal following their victory.

However it was reported last week that they had parted ways from their record company.

Despite the setback, Rak-Su – made up of Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland, Myles Stephenson and Mustafa Rahimtulla – will remain together and seek new opportunities elsewhere.

Ashley took to Twitter to tell fans: “Y’all stop stressing ? haven’t I told you this is the happiest we’ve been in god knows how long!

“Future music/tour etc is all organised & planned by us alone. Nothing is being cancelled! I promise you we are absolutely buzzing ?”

And Jamaal posted on his social media: “We ain’t going nowhere”

The news comes amid rumours that member Myles Stephenson is in talks to join ITV’s I’m A Celebrity.

It’s been claimed that the singer could be set for the latest series in November.

Meanwhile, this year will see The X Factor take a year off from its usual series.

Rather than inviting members of the public to audition, 2019 will feature a celebrity version.

It’s also rumoured an All Star version could be in the works, welcoming back some of the biggest acts from the past 15 series.
